Mary Pickford was a canadian born actress who helped to found United Actors, and Motion Pictures Arts and Science. Known as "America's Sweetheart," and "The girl with the curls," Pickford was ranked the 24th greatest actress of all time.

Pickford began her career as a stage actor with her family in the early 1900's. After roughly 6 years, Pickford landed a starring role in Broadway and her career steadily progressed from there, Pickford finally began acting on the screen in 1909 with Biograph Studios.

Pickford starred in 52 features total, ocassionally appearing as a child. Pickford's Salary topped at a record breaking $10,000 a week at the height of her career.
